About Ronnie’s Cage Fronts
A well known cage front business is taken over by the next generation.
Ronnie’s Cage Fronts, a longtime advertiser in AP, is well-known in the poultry and pigeon communities, with Ronnie himself being a prominent breeder, exhibitor, and judge. The business has now been acquired by Scott and Karen Schieb, Ronnie’s daughter, ensuring it remains in the family. Karen, who has fond memories of attending poultry shows with her father, believes her involvement brings Ronnie peace of mind. Her children, Flyn and Tuy, have also followed in their grandfather’s footsteps, exhibiting at many shows.
Karen’s acquisition of Larsen Wire four years ago, after a 13-year career in engineering and fabrication, made her and Scott ideal successors for Ronnie’s Cage Fronts. The business, which has relocated to Laidley in the Lockyer Valley, will continue to use Australian-manufactured wire. With Ronnie’s ongoing input, Karen and Scott aim to enhance production and introduce new options. The team will maintain their presence at poultry and agricultural shows across Australia, with products available for shipment throughout Australia and New Zealand.
